Aaco

A world-leading provider of cattle, beef and agricultural products since 1824.















    AACo. is known world wide as a leading provider of beef and agricultural products, they were developed in 1824 and are the oldest operating company in Australia. 
    AACo are owners and operators of properties, feedlots and farms totaling to around 7 million hectares of land throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory, which in reality is about 1% of Australia's land mass.   
    They show a commitment to developing operating systems which use the world's best practices and have company-wide accreditation through the LPAQA, EUCAS, NFAS, WQA and MSA quality assurance programs. 
    AACo have an established track record for environmentally sensitive land use as they were one the first companies to employ their own rangelands officer.  
    Through out the many past decades AACo have expended into value-adding beef through the Branded Beef division within the company.

    ACCo's STRATEGY:


    AACo's has a strategy in which they own and operate  integrated and diversified agribusiness operations whilst applying innovative business practices alongside with technology to be able to gain long term productivity.
    The strategy of AACo was introduced in the early 2012 when David Farley as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Directer, he was the key to the return of AACo's profitability in 2011. 
    The operations and strategic initiatives are designed particularly to meet the present market demand, keeping in mind the opportunities which are which appear through the global thematics of the world. These include the growing population, increase of urbanisation and the income growth as a result of the expansions in the GDP. 
    The primary asset and source of ACCo's values are based upon the agricultural land holdings alongside with the quality and productivity of the cattle.
    ACCo adds value to their properties by target development and the implementation of the use of land with is centrally has the aim to maximise the return gained by weight gain and calf production.

    ACCo recognises that there is a demand from external markets which they can address through their leadership in the cattle trade and value-adding. By the shift to high-protein diets being used in the developing countries will be the key to the success of higher demand for beef in the coming decades. 
    ACCo is working towards the development of its industry and export trades. For ACCo this means an upgrade to the finest meat processing facility in the NT. There is also a focus upon the continuous production of cotton and other grain crops.  
    ACCo believes cornerstone is the key to their strategy, which aims to improve the productivity of assets and their operations.
